A directory that tells you why a product is on top.
hotaibuild is an independent, international index of AI products. Makers list for free. Readers discover tools that actually ship. Paid placement exists, and it is never disguised as merit.
How the list is ordered
There are three orders, and you can pick any of them. Ranking is the directory's main list: active boosts sit on top by bid amount, then everything else follows all-time upvotes. Trending is momentum — votes divided by age, so a product that just earned 400 votes beats one that collected 9,000 over a year. Just added is strictly chronological. No invisible quality score, no editorial thumb on the scale.
Upvotes are one per person per product, tracked with a signed cookie. We do not buy traffic, run engagement pods, or count clicks as votes.
What paid placement buys
A boost buys position and a labelled flame badge for a fixed window: 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days. It does not buy an editor's pick, it does not remove the label, and it does not hide the organic order — the Trending and Just added tabs ignore boosts entirely.
Bids are public in the sense that the amount is shown on every boosted row. The auction is continuous: a higher bid from someone else moves you down while your time keeps running. That is the deal, and it is the same deal for everyone.
What we list
- AI products with a working product behind the link — not a waitlist-only page.
- Tools built by an identifiable maker or team, with honest pricing.
- Products that respect the law in the markets they sell to.
We reject: thin wrappers reselling an API with no product, deceptive claims, tools that impersonate real people without consent, and anything that sexualises minors or facilitates harm. Decisions are made by a human and can be appealed by replying to any receipt email.
Payments, taxes and refunds
Boost payments are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record. Creem handles card processing, local payment methods in 190+ countries, VAT and sales-tax calculation, invoices, fraud screening and chargebacks. Prices are listed in USD. Your card statement will show Creem, not hotaibuild.
Placements start the moment payment is confirmed and are non-refundable once live. If a payment succeeds but the placement fails to activate, contact us and we will fix it or refund it.
Who runs this
hotaibuild is an independent project run by a small team of makers who got tired of directories where the top ten slots were for sale without anyone saying so. Questions, corrections, partnership ideas: hello@hotaibuild.com.
